Hawzah News Agency- From the early hours of the morning, major boulevards and designated routes leading to Imam Square (Naqsh-e Jahan) were filled with crowds chanting “Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic.” The massive turnout in Isfahan mirrored nationwide rallies, sending what participants described as a clear message to adversaries: the Islamic Revolution remains alive, dynamic, and resolute on its path of progress.
Families, students, clerics, workers, and veterans of the 1979 uprising marched side by side. Infants in their mothers’ arms and elderly citizens whose hair has turned white over the past four decades waved Iran’s tricolor flag, emblazoned with the emblem of Allah at its center. Portraits of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the late founder of the Islamic Republic were carried high above the crowd.
The atmosphere was marked by chants of “Allahu Akbar,” along with slogans against the United States and Israel, reflecting the enduring anti-imperialist discourse that has defined the Revolution since its inception.
Participants described the rally as a renewed pledge of allegiance to the ideals for which thousands of martyrs sacrificed their lives. “This is not merely an anniversary,” one marcher said. “It is a covenant with our history and our future.”
Along the procession route, organized student choirs performed revolutionary anthems, their synchronized voices echoing through the historic city. Many attendees paused to listen, recalling the charged days of Bahman 1979 when mass mobilization brought an end to monarchy and established the Islamic Republic.
Observers noted the strong presence of youth, underscoring what officials characterize as the intergenerational continuity of the Revolution’s principles. Despite decades of external pressure, sanctions, and political confrontation, the scale of participation was widely portrayed as evidence of sustained popular backing.
As marchers converged on Imam Square, the rally culminated in speeches and collective chants reaffirming national sovereignty, resistance against foreign domination, and commitment to the country’s political system.
Wednesday’s demonstrations in Isfahan—echoed across cities and villages nationwide—were presented by participants as a testament to resilience and unity, signaling that, nearly five decades on, the Islamic Revolution continues to command visible public support and assert its presence on the regional and global stage.
